Akiba De Taiketsu! Code Geass Matsuri (Part 3) Final
Posted by: | Comments|
This is a Code Geass promotional TV show that features Shinya Arino of Yoiko, Jun Natsukawa, America Zarigani, Sandwichman, and Idoling!!!'s Hitomi Miyake. As you may or may not know, Miyake will be voicing an upcoming character in the Code Geass anime series--hence the appearance on a Code Geass special. In this show, the entertainers are split into two teams: Arino-Natsukawa team and Sandwichman-Miyake team. (America Zarigani handles MC duties.) As the group travels around to various spots in Akihabara, the teams compete against each other in various games. Whichever team wins more games gets a bunch of Code Geass Blu-ray Discs and a Playstation 3 signed by Goro Taniguchi, the director of Code Geass. Of course, the losing team in each game gets a punishment. The first stop is a maid cafe named Hibari-tei where all of the maids are cross-dressing guys. That still doesn't stop Arino from copping a feel of one of the maids' legs. After trying some items from the cafe's menu (including a curry "parfait"), they play a game that involves another dish from the menu: Russian Takoyaki. Simply put, there are five takoyaki, and only one is loaded with hot sauce. Whichever team gets the spicy takoyaki loses and has to drink something nasty. After the game (and punishment game), they talk a bit about Code Geass. The second stop is a retro game shop named Super Potato. Arino claims to be familiar with the shop because that's where they buy games for a video game show that he does (Game Center CX, of course). Inside of Super Potato, the teams play an old quiz game from 1991. Being born in 1992, Miyake just ends up looking a bit lost the entire time. The losing team has to pick one retro game from a selection of five to purchase as a present for the winning team. The selection of games have prices ranging from cheap to really expensive, so it's up to the losing team to try to choose one of the cheap ones. After that, more Code Geass talk. The third stop is an ear-cleaning place named Yamamoto Mimikaki-ten. For the game in this place, the Sandwichman-Miyake team has to hide a Code Geass DVD somewhere in the room, and the Arino-Natsukawa team has to try to find it. The winning team gets their ears cleaned while the viewers are treated to more Code Geass footage and information. Of course, the losing team gets one last punishment game to end the show. |
