DICKINSON, Texas, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- FBI officials say they have arrested a suspect in the kidnapping and attempted slaying of an 8-year-old Texas girl in 1990.

Jennifer Schuett was 8 when she was snatched from her bed, sexually assaulted and left for dead. Her throat was slashed and her voice box damaged. But it didn't silence her. A suspect was arrested this morning --19 years after the attack and two weeks after Schuett shared her story with CNN.

Dennis Earl Bradford, 40, of North Little Rock was arrested Tuesday morning. He's charged with attempted capital murder in the 19-year-old investigation of Jennifer Schuett of Dickinson, Texas.

An arrest in North Little Rock today is being hailed as a case of "justice at last" by the FBI. Dennis Earl Bradford, 40, was wanted for the 1990 abduction and sexual assault of an 8-year-old in Dickinson, Texas, which is near Galveston.
