Sid the Kid has a new label: Olympic hero. Already considered Canada's greatest player since Wayne Gretzky, Sidney Crosby did something the Great One never did, scoring the winning goal in overtime to give Canada a 3-2 victory over the United States in perhaps the most important game in the history of this hockey-obsessed nation.

In one of the greatest games in Olympic history, Canada's collection of all-stars held off a young, desperate U.S. team that had beaten it the previous Sunday and, after staging a furious comeback after falling behind 2-0, almost beat them again.

These Games weren't perfect by any stretch, but the host nation provided plenty of memorable moments.

With the regular season over and the state tournament beginning on Monday, the Brighton hockey team is focused on the here and now.
