Scott MacIntyre is ready to launch his post- American Idol career. The former eighth-season finalist will release his new album "Heartstrings" on March 11 and will also return to the American Idol stage that night to perform during the live results' show broadcast that will reveal the ninth season's Top 12.

Scott MacIntyre, the visually impaired singer and pianist, releases his new album on Thursday, plays on "Idol" that night, and comes to the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove later this month.
