What Software Should I Use To Make Music?I like to Make hip-hop Beats and electronic type stuff and need a good, but cheaper program. I was using Garageband 1 On my Apple G4 Powerbook until I installed Leopard, and now it really doesnt work. Either way I wanted to upgrade my Garageband so I could musical-type. Now Im considering getting a keyboard as well. I have no problem using Garageband as I can usually figure out how to get a lot out of it…but I think I need to buy iLife 08 to get it. I dont need iMovie (because it wont work On my G4 and I have Final Cut) nor do I need anything else…so paying $90 for iLife would be only for Garageband. My question is…is iLife worth it for Garageband (maybe Id buy the Remix Jam pack as well) or should I look into another program and if so, what, why, and how much? Thanks! [ Read More ]

I found on yahoo answers that I am looking for a digital audio workstation. But the answers I found are Windows based programs or people say to use Garageband.
