Does The Flex Belt Work?

The Flex Belt Technology

One of the biggest differences found between the Flex Belt and some of  it’s competitor’s is that the product itself is FDA cleared.

Also the product is extremely easy to use and most importantly can be quickly strapped on almost instantly and stay hidden under clothing while you commute to work or while sitting at a desk etc. This means no wires protruding through clothes or having to strategically place gels pads on certain muscle groups.

How Does The Flex Belt Work?

The Flex Belt Uses ( EMS )

To answer this question you need to understand how EMS or electronic muscle stimulation works.

EMS works by sending electronic signals to your muscle which stimulates them to contract. This is a similar signal that your brain sends your muscles when you want to contract a certain muscle group.

For example if I want to perform a sit-up then I would simply lay on the floor and crunch my abdominal muscles. This is what the flex belt does, it automatically contracts certain muscle groups without you even having to think about it. In a way it replaces the thought process, and the need to lay on the floor and perform sit-ups.

So what does this mean ?

Does The Flex Belt Work?

Okay, we know that calories are burnt when we use our muscles, either by perform bicep curls, sit-ups or any form of exercise, and so it is the same using EMS. You see your body doesn’t care if the brain sends a signal to contract a muscle group or whether it is done via

EMS. All it knows is that the muscle is contracting and this process requires energy. The more energy you use, potentially the more fat you burn.

Ten to fifteen years ago EMS was used for muscle re habitation, helping athletes tone and strengthen damaged muscle tissue, however throughout the years this technology has been modified and improved and become very useful in other areas.

My first EMS product was a T.E.N.S machine which I used for body building, this product cost $300 back in the day and came with gel pads that I could stick on to various muscle groups. Although some things have change over the years, the principle technology remains the same.

With the flex belt you can literally go about your daily routines all the while burning calories, which is great news for those of us who commute long hours to work. Some people can spend up to 2 hours commuting to work and back. The flex belt can be working for you while you past the time away reading a news paper, watching tv, surfing the internet, even while you’re preparing a meal. The convenience of such a product is priceless in my opinion.
